Le Semnoz has the advantage of being a winter ski station and a summer destination. If you book a mobile home rental in an Annecy campsite for a family stay in the French Alps, your children can have fun and excitement on an electric mini-kart or a sledge. Mini-karts are reserved for children from 3 to 10 years old. The 850 m long toboggan run is open to children from 3 years old. Children under the age of 8 must however be accompanied by an adult. Turns, tunnels, crossing fir trees, jumping: thrills guaranteed! On sunny days, you can also stroll in the botanical, alpine garden of Maion du Semnoz, observe deer and hinds in semi-freedom in the animal park of Grande Jeanne. There are several picnic areas on site and a few restaurants at the foot of the slopes and mountain restaurants. Do you want to take with you an unforgettable memory of your camping holiday in the French Alps? Treat yourself to your first paragliding flight and fly over Lake Annecy!
Located in the Bauges mountains, about 30 km from the Annecy Les Fontaines and La Ravoire campsites in the French Alps, Le Semnoz designates both a mountain of 1,700 m above sea level and the ski resort which was created there in the late 1970s. Its ski area is made up of 18 alpine ski tracks (50 km), 9 cross-country ski tracks (46 km) and a snowpark. It is also possible to take snowshoe walks, tobogganing (640 m long track) and snowkite, the variant of kitesurf adapted to snow. The Semnoz is a small family-friendly and ecological winter sports resort which mainly attracts skiers from the region. Called locally "Le Balcon des Alpes", it offers skiers hourly packages of 2 to 8 hours to descend beautiful slopes accessible to all levels, covered with natural snow (the resort is not equipped with snow cannons). The 18 pistes of the domain (6 red, 5 blue, 7 green) are connected by 7 drag lifts, 2 chairlifts and 1 telecord. Several hiking trails start from the resort, including the Balade track (2 km) and the 3 lakes pedestrian track (6 km).
